Getting Bigger

I had another visit to the doctor today.  We all went together.  Mommy has gained 5 lbs., I am about 9 inches long, and weigh about 9 ounces.  My stats checked in appropriately as I continue to mature.  My arrival is on the horizon...half-way to go!

I can't wait to meet you all!

Round 3

On Friday, Mommy, Daddy, and Ella took me to Dr. Bartell's to listen to my heart beat.  I felt a little pressure from up top as I darted around Mommy's uteris.  They were all pretty excited to hear my beating heart for the first time.  I guess my rate was slower than last time.  But all in all, I am healthy and maturing properly.

One last tidbit, I am partial to hanging out on Mama's left side.  She's a lefty and I may be too.

Synovially Yours,

Baby Tucker

The Backstory to the Sequel: Me

Ever since my big sister Ella was born, Mommy and Daddy have discussed having another child, if the Lord was to grant them their desire.  They had thought that a three year gap between birthdays would be appropriate:
  1. Mommy could fully recover from pregnancy and delivery and fit into all of her old clothes for several months.
  2. Mommy and Daddy could perfect parenting on Ella before experimenting on me.
  3. Ella could wear Mommy and Daddy down just enough to give me an inch or two of room to be me.
So it came to be that I was conceived and am due to arrive in late June of 2009.  Mommy and the the doctors predict June 20, 2009 (06/20/09).  My big sis was born on 09/20/06.  That's kind of a palindrome!  Pretty neat.

It was confirmed on 10/14/2008 that I was alive.

My first baby pictures were on 11/11/2008.

I had a second series of pictures taken on 12/10/2008.  I played a little game with Mommy, Daddy, and Dr. Bartell.  They listened for my heart, but I had snuck under my placenta.  Since they couldn't hear me, they had to shoot another photo.  I was fine, just sneaky!

I made Mama feel sick for most of the first trimester (she's feeling better now), but she told Daddy that it wasn't as bad or as long as with Ella.  Whew, I have something going for me!  I hear she's a bit of a superstar.

I have been in Michigan for almost three weeks.  An airplane took me there.  It's really cold there.
