We just got home from bowling and man, did I enjoy it! It was my first time!

Our recent weeks have been highlighted by swimming, watching movies at the theater, and lots of time with friends. Summer is so much fun!

Mom and Dad tell me that Ella is starting school soon. So Owen and I will be running the show. It's a little saddening, but exciting at the same time! Only time will tell.

Pandas don't roar, but when I'm a panda, I roar! I make kitty sounds and panda sounds. Cows are easy, too. I can pretty much count to 20 and know a few letters of the alphabet. My favorite things to do are copy Ella and cuddle with Owen. I like to be a mommy and I like to eat.

Birthday Girl

I celebrated my birthday! I am two! Mom took me to the doctor for a check up and I was told that my height is in the 36.75" (98th percentile) and my weight is 29 lbs. (78th percentile). I am a growing girl and like to "growl" like a panda.

Vacation Bible School

I started Vacation Bible School this week. The theme is Panda-Mania. It is my first year, but I love it! The extra stimulus during the day is awesome!

Baby and Ella are going too. Owen helps Mommy with snacks and Ella goes with her teachers. It shapes up to be a great morning!

I have been practicing my swimming this summer and am getting more comfortable in the pool! I think Mom signed me up for lessons. I can't wait to learn new tricks.

I love my little brother! Holding Owen is my new most favorite thing to do! I keep trying to get Owen to love his pacifier as much as I do. I spend lots of time watching over his pacifier and holding so that I will be ready to give it to him if he needs it.

Change is definitely change in the air and I know the baby is coming, but I am having a very hard time resolving it. My patience has shrunk, my temper has flared, and I am a bit mean at times. Hopefully things get straightened out soon.

We had friends from San Diego come hang out for the weekend and got to go see Disney on Ice! All of our favorite characters were there!

I finally decided that Mom could put my hair up on pig tails or a fountain! Now I really don't like my hair to get in my eyes. Dad and Mom say I look like such a big girl and I like it!

I feel pretty blessed to get to travel to so many different places!!! Tomorrow I am heading to Sandestin, Florida to see my Oma and Papa at their vacation home. What a whirlwind these last weeks have been! I have been to Michigan and California and soon will go to Florida!

Daddy took me to Michigan at the end of last week to go to Great Grandma Denise's funeral. We left on Thursday and came back on Sunday. I had a good time, but was sure glad to be home with my mom and sister. Daddy was very proud of my behavior on the airplane rides and was happy that I made friends with all of the passengers around us.

We are in California right now. This is where my sister was born and lived for the first part of her life. The weather has been yucky, but my other visits here have proved to be lots of fun, so I am sure this time will be no different.

It has been a great week celebrating Jesus' birth! On Christmas Eve we went to church as a family and I went to big church for the first time!!! I really liked the singing the best! After the Christmas Eve service we went over to the Baker family Christmas party. We had a blast with our dear friends! Christmas morning was also a lot of fun reading the Christmas story and then opening gifts. I made sure to put each piece of paper that I ripped off into the recycling bag immediately. It was also really fun finding out that I am going to have a little brother!

My Oma and Papa came to visit me last weekend. We had lots of fun, but there visit, along Aunt Jen and Erin was very brief. I had a great time but was sad to see them go.

I had a great Thanksgiving and I hope that you all did as well! My family hopped on a plane to see some old friends in Charlotte. It was a great time! There were five girls all 5 and under and then two moms. Talk about out numbering our dads. The Blacksons also have a girl dog named Whitney. We got along as long as she stayed away from me. If you look at the above photo you will see my reaction whenever Whitney got too close.

My grandparents came to visit us. We had such a fun time despite the constant pain in my mouth from all of my new teeth and my bum ankle. We played so much and got to know each other a lot better.

Each Friday I watch my sister do gymnastics. This week I was a little tired and my teeth hurt so I decided to take a little rest on the cool cement floor.

I went to San Diego last weekend. We had to go work on our condo because our tenant moved out. Before we began our work we went to Coronado Island to meet up with some friends: the Beals, Travis, Mark, and Daisy. I played in the sand and ate some, too.

We chased Ella around. It was lots of fun being up on Daddy's shoulders.

We got a lot of work done. I tried to help but I am still little.

Today is my birthday's eve! I was born one year ago tomorrow. What a fast year it has been. I have changed so much and I know that my second year will bring even more changes. I know that walking is in my near future as is speaking more words. I did take 6 consecutive steps on Monday!

I enjoy playing with my sister and can't wait to chase her around as I gain mobility.

Next week I'll be sharing photos from my birthday party and thanks for the cards and $$ you have sent. I am saving for college.

Second Child

It's happened... I'm officially the second child in our house. Mommy and Daddy didn't take any pictures of me this week! But here is what is happening in my life...

I have been working on my swimming. Daddy goes under the water with me and then I swim back to the surface. I am not quite sure how I feel about this, but I do like to do fun tricks in the water.

I have become really attached to my Mommy! I don't enjoy being without her. Getting dropped off at the nursery is not much fun! I don't know what has gotten into me but I cry nearly every time now.

I am a snuggler and Mommy loves it.

Now that I am cruising around I have discovered toilet paper and it draws me in like a magnet.

I love, love, love bath time! Give me a cup to play with and it's even better!

If you are teething the crib makes a great chew toy! I do have to say the plastic protectors my parents put on have put a damper in my quest to eat the crib!

One last confession...I have about 20 scabs on my forehead because I love to scratch my forehead off when I get tired.

I've been crawling for a week and a half and momentum is building. Mommy has been chasing me around and saving me (and stuff around the house) from disaster. Mom and Dad have some baby-proofing to do, that's for sure. I like to walk around, too. I go from chair to chair under the table or along the edge of the couch screaming, "Mommy! Mommy!"

I am getting so close to being able to crawl. I get on my haunches then get a stuck. It's coming soon. Mom and Dad have been introducing me to sign language. Soon I will be signing "please" and "thank you".

Life is good!!! I am a pretty smiley kid. I pretty much like everything except being on my tummy!!! I make sure to let my mommy and daddy know exactly how I feel. So needless to say I haven't taken to crawling yet, but I can move a little bit while I'm sitting. Yesterday, I scooted about a foot to the end of Ella's bed then pulled myself to a standing position. I thought that I was pretty cool stuff! Hopefully next week I'll have some pics to post! 9-Month Check-up

Hello! How are you doing? I am doing well. I just had an appointment with my pediatrician. My weight (17lbs 6oz) and height (26.5 inches) growth have slowed considerably, but he said I look just wonderful. I'll tell you that I feel great too!

Last weekend we all traveled to the Railroad Park. We had a great time and even spent a few moments in jail!

I have been a bit irritable recently. Mom and Dad believe I am teething. I think they break through in the next couple of weeks. That means that food, chewable food, is not far off. This morning my mommy cut off my mullet. You can see the hair on the table. Ella helped Mommy and brushed my now mullet-free hairdo.

Feliz Navidad! I spent Christmas Eve with my friends Joshua and Kayla. We had a great time and took a second to pose for a matching jammy pose! How fun!

We spent Christmas morning together as a family and read about how God sent His son, Jesus, to earth as a gift, a sacrifice. In the evening we spent time with the Andersons and the Murphys. Our friends are such a blessing.

The day after Christmas we went to the park. It was a lot of fun and the weather was very enjoyable.

I just began sitting on my own. Wow! Freedom!

I went in for my 6 month check-up on Monday and weighed 17 lbs. 2.5 oz. I am 26.5 in. long. Both measurements place me in the 80th percentile!

SoCal Vacation

We took a long long weekend to Southern California last week. We left on Wednesday and headed to Anaheim to go visit Disneyland.

Keeping Up

I spent some time trying to keep up with my sis. She had a big tea party with Mommy and me. She is full of energy and can be rather loud, but I love to watch her antics. She makes me laugh.

What a great visit we had! Here are some photos from the last week of our trip. We went to Lake Michigan, saw my Great Grandpa and Grandma Simon, visited with Uncle Steven, went to the Tree House, and finished up at Flavor Fruit Farms.

My time in Michigan was enjoyable, but I am glad to be back in Arizona. There is no comparison to my own bed and the sunshine we get.

Fall Vacation

I have been enjoying getting the chance to meet lots of new people and going on lots of adventures! Here I am with my Daddy on my first airplane ride. I did great!

I have been trying lots of new things! I can now sit by myself for a few moments.

I went apple picking with Papa, Oma, Uncle Todd, Aunt Jen, Anthony, Aunt Erin, Trevor, Joel, Olivia, Daddy, and Mommy. The apples were huge lots of them were the size of grapefruit. My mommy told me that her parents took her to Crane's every year. It's fun getting to do things my parents did when they were young!

I have passed the 2 month mark! Mommy and Ella took me to see Dr. Delucca and he said that I am doing great. I am 12lbs 7oz (90%) and 23 inches tall (75%.)

Mommy and Daddy say that I am a pretty easy baby. This is my typical schedule these days.

I go to sleep at around 8 p.m. I wake up around 4-6 a.m. to eat then sometimes I like to go right back down and other times I am ready to play for about an hour then it's back to sleep for me.

I eat every couple hours and nap on and off throughout the day. I will take a really long nap if Mom puts me in the carrier or if she lets me sleep on my tummy (don't freak out she only lets me do this during the day when she can keep a close eye on me.)

I cry when it am ready to eat, want to sleep, or have a dirty diaper.

I smile a lot especially when I wake up from a good nap or when Daddy comes home from work. I am a total Daddy's girl!

I let my Mommy and Daddy know when I am ready for my nightly bath and then again when I am ready to be swaddled at before each night.

I enjoy a little bouncing and then it's off to bed for me. My record so far is 10 hours.

On Monday, I went to Shea Hospital to get an ultrasound on my hips (I guess my hips where clicking at the hospital when the pediatrician was checking me out). The great news is that my hips like great so no brace for me!

Today, I get to head over to the airport to pick up my Uncle Cory, Aunt Melissa, and Brody. I am so excited to get to meet them. It is so special that my family has made the effort to come out to Arizona to meet me! Thanks Oma, Papa, Aunt Jen, Aunt Erin, Grandma Dede, and Grandpa Chuck.

Today marks six weeks! So far I have enjoyed my time on earth. My daddy and mommy say that I am growing really fast.

I love having a big sis, but I let Ella know when I've had enough. I am not quite sure what she is doing to me here.

My favorite part of the day is bath time! I love to kick my legs in the warm water. The other day I made tub time really exciting by going number 1&2!

I had my one month check up earlier this week. I weighed in at 11lbs 2oz and was 22.5 inches tall. I guess that I am in the 95% and 80% respectively.

I love my big sister. She looks out for me everyday!

This week we have had lots of female visitors. My daddy hardly knew what to do with 6 girls in the house. It was great to meet my Aunt Jennifer and Aunt Erin this past weekend. They were so much fun to hangout with.

Two Weeks Old

I am two weeks old today. I have gained about one pound since my initial birth weight was measured. I like to eat and go potty and sleep. I do all three very well! I have lots of hair and am getting used to the desert heat.

I have enjoyed my time with Oma. She has been a great help to my Mommy and Daddy. This weekend I get to meet my Aunt Jen and Aunt Erin. I am so very excited!

I'm Here

I finally made it...4 days late, but I am here!

My mommy and daddy came to the hospital at about12:45 p.m. My mommy dilated quickly; the measurements were 4 cm, then 6 cm, 8 cm and then 10 cm within a couple of hours. Mommy only pushed for 15 minutes! I came out in a hurry!

I was born yesterday at 6:28 p.m. at Scotsdale Healthcare Shea. My initial weight was 8 lbs 10.5 oz and my length was measured at 20.75". Mommy and Daddy named me Olivia Michel Tucker.

happy with all of phone calls and support from you all!

We all went in for another checkup yesterday but no change. However, Mommy says she is now unplugged. We'll see!

No News is...Good News?

Mommy went in for an appointment with Ella and Daddy on Monday. Dr. Bartell said that there was no change in my status! Mommy has gained a few pounds since the last visit and is more uncomfortable, too. I'll come out when I'm ready!

My most recent checkup today proved to be very exciting! Dr. Bartell said that Mommy is dilated at 1 cm and is effaced at 50%. I am coming soon!

I move like crazy. Contort like a pretzel. I hiccup rapidly.

Time is quickly passing and the day is soon approaching when I get to be a part of this wonderful world. I am so excited!

Yesterday we all went in for a routine visit. My heart rate is still around 140 bpm and my size is on target!

My big sister thought it would be fun to put some stickers on me. I kind of liked it. Thanks Ella!

We had another appointment today. My heart rate is in the 125 to 135 bpm range. My size is good and I am a crazy mover. Mommy has had to back off of her activity a bit to help reduce the amount of pseudo-contractions.
